Woodruffs has stood in the heard of Stroud since 1998, claiming to be Britain’s first totally organic café and featured when The Times named Stroud as 2021’s best place to live. Today we continue to use organic to a high degree and focus on seasonal ingredients, locally grown as much as possible, to make tasty and healthy breakfasts and lunches.
The owner
The café is currently run by Jamie who previously had a stall at farmers’ markets and food fairs, selling tasty and vibrant seasonal salads.
The name
The Woodruffs name comes from the original owner’s dog but is also the name of a woodland herb that is especially used in Germany for drinks. The green oval on our logo represents the shape of the leaf.
